Timothy 3:16 affirms that "all Scripture is God breathed." All Scripture is innerant; without error in the original
autographs. The Word of God is "useful for teaching, rebuking, and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:17).
God the Father created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it, as we know from Genesis 1-3. God is without
sin, and the Godhead is comprised of three equal parts (the Trinity) - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Trinity functions
as One God with three distinct parts, and is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
Jesus came to earth,
fully God yet fully man and was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin (Mary). He lived 33 years on earth, and began
His earthly ministry at age 30. Jesus led a sinless life, died a sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, rose from the
dead, ascended to heaven and now reigns in complete victory over the grave. Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of the
Father. He intercedes on our behalf - and is our only mediator.
As Romans 3:23 tells us, all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God. Because of Adam and Eve's Fall in the Garden of Eden, all mankind are sinners. Because of the Fall,
there is no eternal salvation without a perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus
is the One and Only Savior for mankind, and it is through His sacrificial blood that we are saved. Salvation is freely given
by God to all who repent of sin and believe in Jesus. Salvation is through faith in Jesus and through God's grace - not by
works or merit.
John 3:16 tells us that God loved us enough to send His Son, so that we could have eternal life.
John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life, and that no man comes to the Father but through the
Son. Jesus is the only path to salvation.
For those who repent of sin and believe that Jesus is the Son of God,
there is the guarantee of eternal life in heaven. For those who do not accept Jesus as the Son of God, eternal separation
from God in a literal hell awaits. God will judge all mankind.
After accepting Christ as Savior, we are to live
lives that reflect the will and ways of God - through being obedient to God, seeking His will, loving God and loving others,
manifesting fruit in keeping with repentence, and sharing the gospel message with the world.
to live in Him must walk as Jesus did." (1 John 2:6).
